For the time being, ili is focused on you, the traveler. ili's one-way translation is optimized for quick and efficient communication to help get you to where you want to go, tell what you want to do.
We originally created a two-way app to help travelers. However, when we tested it, satisfaction was quite low.
One reason was because two-way conversation proved to be difficult. The person responding would usually say long and complex sentences, not knowing the limitations of the app or how to use it properly. This caused errors and too much back and forth.
This happened many times and travelers were reluctant to use the app afterward.
Creating a one-way device actually improved traveler satisfaction because it made communication easier.
